26 February 2006: This cluster of yellow crocuses caught my eye yesterday. Southwestern VA has had a very mild winter so the spring flowers are coming up early. Let's hope that Mother Nature isn't playing a trick on them because frigid air is on its way today. I miss crocuses. They rarely bloom on the Oregon Coast because their bulbs need to freeze before they will awake to the warmth of spring.
