20 November 2006: It's Thanksgiving week which means deer hunting season is underway here in VA. While those Bambi's are really cute, according to a recent CNN report, deer cause many traffic accidents in wooded states costing about 150 lives and $1.1 billion in property damage annually. VA ranks number six in the list of top ten states to report deer-related accidents to insurance companies. The deer in this image were in a protected wildlife refuge in Idaho.
