And the story goes ...

01 March 2007: One warm, sunny afternoon this week, I ventured back out to St. Andrews State Park in Panama City Beach FL. There is a rookery on an island in Alligator Lake. Great Blue Herons were preparing their nests and the Great Egrets were fanning their feathers in mating displays. It was great fun watching these birds bring nesting materials to each other then weave those twigs in exactly the right place in the nest.
