And the story goes ...

08 November 2005: I was driving along Pitzer Ridge in Covington, VA, looking for fall colors. I spotted a burning bush, so I stopped in the road to take a photo of it from the car. Then, I saw a lady waving at me, "Do you want to take a picture of my red maple tree?" This is a photo of Becky Woodson's red maple tree that is over 50-years-old. Even in the shade of bigger oak trees and under a cloudy sky, its leaves were glowing, like Becky's personality. Click on the photo to see more photographs of fall colors.
