11 January 2005: Often near the end of a stormy day on the southern Oregon coast, the sun would break through the clouds to give us just a glimpse of its rays shining on the ocean. I found this to be a sign of hope. Just as the weather can go from bad to worse, it can also get better. This is often true in life, too.
