And the story goes ...

26 January 2005: Morning was great for taking photos of birds. New photos of cardinals, blue jays, a chickadee, and a red-bellied woodpecker were added to our Animals Gallery, Backyard Birds. We saw a HUGE pileated woodpecker this morning. Tom saw it up close and personal on a nearby tree, but by the time he woke me up and I grabbed the telephoto lens, it was too distant for me to get a good "shot" of it. I was very pleased to get these decent shots of a pair of Northern Cardinals.
